HOLIDAY Club Project Details
Boredom during the school holidays had proven to lead to children from the local communities getting into trouble which could have a serious impact on their
future. So we piloted a program to keep them actively and creatively engaged over the holidays.

Project Summary
With very little to do in terms of sport or recreation the long School
(Summer/Christmas) holidays invariably led to children getting into
trouble. The Trust worked together with Homtini Farm to trial the idea of a
holiday club. It runs for three weeks on an annual basis and offers a mix of crafts, music and forest activities.
It was well received by the local commununity and the local youth officers
have been given free access to the facilities so that the community can
start to build their own more extensive programmes for the holidays
which the trust continues to support.

are allocated towards food, equipment, teachers, supplies and much
more. We work primarily with voluntary workers where possible to make
sure that the majority of the funds go towards the engagement of the

children that we can accommodate. We have capacity for nearly a 100
children if we receive the required funding – so please support and every
